Now in its 67th edition, the Jayco Herald Sun Tour is Australia’s oldest professional stage race. It is one of Australia’s heritage sporting events, supported and revered by generations of Victorians.
For more than sixty years, the ‘Sun Tour’ has captured the attention of sports fans throughout Victoria. Riders from around the world compete in the Tour, with a long and distinguished list of past winners, and an honour role that includes Tour de France Champions Chris Froome and Sir Bradley Wiggins.
This event provides a platform for upcoming Australian riders to race against the world’s best and is a fantastic opportunity to experience elite cycling and get up close to some of the sport’s best riders.
Kick off the Stage 2 start with rider meet and greets, bike skills clinics and breakfast.
This year the event commences in Nagambie and races through North East Victoria from Nagambie to Shepparton, Beechworth to Falls Creek and Bright to Wangaratta, then concludes in Melbourne.
Stage 2 will commence in Beechworth with the opportunity to see off the riders as they head out for a mountain top finish at Falls Creek.
Let’s celebrate the 50 year career of artist H.Fish Studios!
Join H. Fish at the Burke Museum for a night of drawing, wine and discussion as he shares his experiences from San Francisco’s art world in the 1970s and discusses his inspiration for the Ned Kelly pieces currently on show in Rock n Roll Outlaw.
Among the wine and talking, each guest will be able to participate in a collaborative art piece. H Fish has created a mural representing time – from the beginning to the future!
Participants will also be able to take home a section of the mural!

Quercus Beechworth believes sharing a meal helps bring people in our community together. Meals are prepared and served in the spirit of co-operation by community volunteers with people coming together to share a meal and engage in conversation.
The Community Sharing Feast is a way for residents, both young and old or new to the area to meet up with people they know or make new friends. Take the night off from cooking to enjoy a free and nutritious meal open to all the community.
We use produce from the community food garden and donated food from the Albury/Wodonga Regional FoodShare for the feast. Community Sharing Feast is an alcohol free event.
Bookings are essential so make sure you book early to avoid missing out.
Bookings are essential by calling us on 03 5728 2386 or by going to the website www.quercusbeechworth.com.
