Recent consultation identified a need in Indigo communities for township-based programs that coordinate the sharing of skills and transport between residents. Successful community-led programs such as TimeBanking and RideShare exist throughout Australia already – promoting community and social networks and providing opportunity for all residents to feel valued. Indigo Shire are holding a workshop to ask communities how these programs would best be run in each township. We are seeking a broad range of community members to attend so we can get a wide perspective of the strengths and challenges associated with the implementation of these programs, in order to make them a success in your town. RSVP to Jess Johnston on firstname.lastname@example.org or 1300 365 003. Afternoon tea provided.
